undergraduate admissions
SFAI welcomes undergraduate applicants with diverse backgrounds and interests, who have demonstrated a curiosity about and commitment to the arts.
Our undergraduates work toward one of two bachelor’s degrees. In the School of Studio Practice, the student pursues a Bachelor of Fine Arts, which pairs extensive studio art coursework with classes in liberal arts and art history. BFA programs are offered in Design and Technology, Film, New Genres, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture.
In the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, Bachelor of Arts candidates specialize either in History and Theory of Contemporary Art or in Urban Studies, and are encouraged to take elective studio art courses in addition to their required classroom studies.
SFAI is currently accepting undergraduate applications for the Fall 2013 semesters. The admissions process is highly personalized, and we look forward to learning about you and your work.
