There is one guaranteed winner from SFAI who will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize and be featured in an LG-organized gala in New York City.
At the gala, an overall First Place winner will be selected and awarded an additional $5,000. The Second Place winner will receive an additional $3,000 and the First and Second Place winners’ schools will receive a $50,000 and $25,000 grant, respectively.
National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Acting Chairman Joan Shigekawa announced today that the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) is one of 886 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant. SFAI is recommended for a $60,000 grant to support theMobile Engagement Project, a mobile phone application that will engage users in an immersive experience of the historic SFAI campus and enhance their participation in the public programs offered by the institute.
