Michael Fox

Michael Fox is a San Francisco film critic and journalist. He has contributed to more than 50 regional and national publications since 1987, including SF360.org, SF Weekly, and KQED.org/arts. He has written program notes for the S.F. International Film Festival since 1996, and has sat on juries and participated in panels at the S.F. International, Mill Valley, Cinequest, Film Arts and United Nations Association festivals. Fox is the curator of the Friday night CinemaLit film series at the Mechanics’ Institute. A member of the San Francisco Film Critics Circle, he hosted KQED-TV’s fondly remembered weekly program on independent film, “Independent View.”
