6 Sessions » Saturdays, September 13–October 18
1–4 pm | Studio 117 | $250
This course helps students develop an interdisciplinary approach to painting in response to historic and contemporary trends. We will consider what a painting is and what it can be. How can we use the classic materials of painting to expand upon it? Where is the tradition of painting headed? Conceptual and historical aspects as well as technical and formal issues will be discussed. This is a studio course where experimentation is welcomed.
