Any Body Out There
Sunday, February 19 - Saturday, February 25, 2012
Diego Rivera Gallery
Hours: Open daily 9:00am-5:00pm
San Francisco Art Institute
800 Chestnut Street
San Francisco,

This exhibition consists of three artists who explore the issues of reflexivity in performance-based video involving the female body. Through film and video, each participating artist has been producing works that incorporate the female form within their own realms of interest; examining the points of entry and exit from the body, addressing the body as an object, and exploring language and gesture through the body.

Participating artists: Rebecca Levitan, Lindsay Tully, Laura Kim

Opening reception: Tuesday, February 21, with an artist talk at 4:30 and a reception from
5:00–7:00 pm.

The Diego Rivera Gallery, home to SFAI’s historic Diego Rivera Mural, is a student-directed exhibition space for work by SFAI students. The gallery provides an opportunity for students from all academic programs to present their work or curate in a gallery setting; to use the space for large-scale installations; or to experiment with artistic concepts and concerns in a public venue.
