All You Can Eat
Sunday, January 15 - Saturday, January 28, 2012
Hours: Mon. through Sat., 9:00am - 5:00pm
SFAI Graduate Center
2565 Third Street
San Francisco,

Participating Artists: Erno-Erik Raitanen, Elizabeth Cayne, and Milos Zahradka Maiorana

Can you eat the art? Yes, if you like. Smell, touch, consume, and relish the work. It becomes you. And the art will not last but as a documented object. So enjoy it right now. All You Can Eat, a smorgasbord of ephemeral and site-specific art, wallows in food. You are encouraged to participate.

The exhibition will change shape throughout the show. And check in for nightly specials by both marquee and guest artists. Special performances and installations include cotton candy, Cheetos, beer, gingerbread, cake, and paella.

Throughout the show, the artists hope to inspire thinking about the ephemeral nature of art, the production of and consumer platform for food, as well as questions of taste. Bon appetit!

The Swell Gallery is a graduate student-run art space dedicated to the examination of the role of the gallery in an educational sphere. The mission of the Swell Gallery is to provide a venue for the exploration and discussion of varying artistic perspectives from the student body, operating as a platform for exhibition, events, and dialogue.
