She is currently featured in East Meets West in the Walter and McBean Galleries, and has exhibited at the Whitney Biennial, the Walker Art Center, and the Berlin International Film Festival, among other venues.

Born and raised in China during the Cultural Revolution, Yun-Fei Ji studied traditional Song Dynasty landscape painting techniques at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. He reinvents the system of symbolic structures found in classical Chinese painting to expose the dark side of industrial development on contemporary life.
