Nicole Eisenman came to prominence in the early 1990s for her witty figurative installations combining mural painting, sculpture, drawing, and multi-media work, often viewed through a lens of gender politics. Moving between representation and abstraction, Eisenman addresses overarching human themes of love and friendship, isolation and mortality.
