dual degree application process
The Dual Degree MA/MFA program is ideally designed for the student who wants a deep and balanced immersion in both SFAI’s School of Interdisciplinary Studies and the School of Studio Practice.
A three-year commitment, the dual MA/MFA degree consists of (1) an MA in History and Theory of Contemporary Art and (2) an MFA in any area of study within the School of Studio Practice: Design and Technology, Film, New Genres, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, or Sculpture.
Admission into the program requires a full review by the Graduate Faculty Review Committee. The application process is rigorous and highly competitive.
Applicants to the Dual Degree MA/MFA program must fulfill all application requirements for both the MA and the MFA programs. See Graduate Application Process for a complete list of requirements.
