Stay Connected

We provide  each student with an email account. Students are required to check their "@artists.sfai.edu" email account regularly for important updates, deadlines, and academic information. Students will be given details about accessing and activating their SFAI email account before they arrive on campus. For those who already have a username and login, you can access your SFAI email account here. If you have difficulty logging into SFAI email or have any other academic computing problems, email edusupport@sfai.edu or call SFAI Technical Support at 415.351.3545.

Like SFAI’s Facebook page and access our Facebook app for current students, and follow SFAI on Twitter to keep up-to-date on events and activities.

F1 and J1 Student Visa Holders

Our Global Programs Office is your resource to navigate the rules and regulations related to international student immigration status for F1 and J1 student visa holders. We are here to support you throughout your experience at SFAI, and welcome questions about any aspect of student life.

Our office is located in the Student Affairs Office at the 800 Chestnut Street campus.

Walk-in advising hours are Monday–Friday. For extended questions or issues, please make an appointment at 415.749.4530 or international@sfai.edu.

Current International Students

There are several U.S. government agencies responsible for maintenance of F1 student visa status. The Study in the States website is your official U.S. government access point for all agencies involved with international student regulations and policy administration. It is the best resource for anything related to F1 visa status.

For specific SFAI policy information and international student requirements, please review the SFAI International Student Handbook.

J1 Student Visa Participants

SFAI J1 visas are sponsored through the Institute of International Education (IIE), and an advisor from the San Francisco office is assigned to our students.

Detailed information for J1 visa participants may be found at the J1 Visa Participants website.
