The following are the estimated costs to attend SFAI for the 2013-14 academic year. These budgets include estimated expenses based on average costs for students. Your individual costs may vary depending on lifestyle choices, costs of books and materials, personal expenditures, and/or transportation expenses.

On-campus room based on double with bath, triple with bath costs approximately $8,800 per academic year. On-campus board/meals include $1,000 meal plan and allowance for additional meals.
Part-time students are charged by the unit for tuition. Undergraduate: $1,644 per unit up to 11.9 units per semester; Graduate and Post-Baccalaureate: $1,736 per unit up to 11.9 units per semester.
Students taking more than 15 units per semester are charged the full-time rate plus the per unit rate for each unit above 15 units.
Low-Residency MFA students are charged the standard flat rate for full-time study during the Summer term. Fall and Spring part-time charges are based on the number of units enrolled each term.
