Tina Dillman is a San Francisco based artist. She received her BFA from the University of Iowa in 2003, and is currently pursuing graduate studies in New Genres at the San Francisco Art Institute, with plans to graduate in May 2014. From 2009–2011, Ms. Dillman curated monthly rotating exhibits in her home, which she ran as WE Artspace (Oakland CA). WE was established to create first-time solo and group exhibitions for emerging artists, and also held monthly music events and film screenings for the East Bay community. In 2012, she launched a new project at WE called Here and Now, that asked artists to experiment outside of their normal practice. These installations were site-specific and on view from sunrise to midnight, seven days a week.
Dillman has dedicated her time to the arts, through board involvement at Intersection for the Arts (SF) and Rock Paper Scissors; volunteering at Southern Exposure, The Lab, and New Langton Arts; and holding paid positions at AS220 (Providence), ArtSpan (SF), Rock Paper Scissors Collective (Oakland), and the Oakland Art Murmur. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally. In the spring of 2013, Ms. Dillman was invited to be a Visiting Artist at ESBAT in France and an Artist in Residence in Berlin and Scotland.
