John Sanger is a founding principal of the San Francisco law firm Sanger & Olson, which specializes in real estate law. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, and received a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1970. Mr. Sanger is a member of the Executive Committee & Board of Directors of the Institute for International Urban Development and of Lambda Alpha, the honorary land economics society. A former member of the Urban Land Institute and the American Planning Association, Mr. Sanger has served on the boards of a number of local nonprofit organizations. Mr. Sanger currently sits on the Accessions Subcommittee for Architecture & Design for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and was formerly a member and President of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Mr. Sanger was also a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Bay Area Governments, the San Francisco Bay Area’s regional organization of cities and counties, and was a founding member and past President of Zeum, now the Children’s Creativity Museum.
